George Floyd was murdered by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.
George Floyd was unarmed. He was handcuffed, lying on the ground, with his face pressed against the asphalt. Derek Chauvin had his knees on his victim's neck. Although George Floyd told the officers that he can't breathe and begged them to stop Chauvin kept his knees on George Floyd's neck. For almost nine minutes.
Chauvin didn't even stop when bystanders pointed out that George Floyd was no longer responding. The live of a black man did not matter to Derek Chauvin or any of the other three policemen involved.
More than 17 complaints of misconduct had been filed against Derek Chauvin before he murdered unarmed George Floyd. If he had been held accountable and removed from a job he obviously was not qualified to do, George Floyd would still be alive.
